Following are e-mails sent from our mass CPR participants:
"We had the Mass CPR training on Saturday and the following Thursday, some five days later, I performed the Heimlich Procedure (abdominal thrusts). At a snack bar in Terminal B at Houston International, a woman a few feet from me jumped up and said 'I'm choking, help me.' I did exactly as I was trained. It took two thrusts and a large chunk of hot dog popped out. She also vomited a little on my sleeve. It all happened within seconds. The Red Cross training clicked in because I knew what to do and it was so recent."

"One never knows when one is called upon to administer CPR. Recently I was traveling from Frankfurt by American Airlines. Suddenly one of the passengers fell ill and the air hostesses were running around in search of a person well conversant with CPR procedure. Luckily there was a medical doctor in the plane. He attended the patient and the latter got better in no time. If I learn the procedure, hopefully I will come to the rescue of persons in need of CPR. It will be a great service in times of emergency. Thanks in anticipation."
